Project Type:
Surveys and data collection
Year:
2008
The Center for the Study of Elections and Democracy (CSED) at Brigham Young University conducted this survey in response to the “Make Voting Work” initiative funded by the Pew Charitable Trusts and the JEHT Foundation, HAVA Partners, LLC, and the Ohio Secretary of State to determine the extent to which an online poll worker training course, taken in addition to the traditional face-to-face training session, improves poll workers’ confidence and performance on Election Day. The pilot program to test the effectiveness of the online training was implemented in two Ohio counties: Butler County and Delaware County. The survey was conducted as a post-election survey.
